Demonstration of Quantum Error-Corrected Quantum Phase Estimation

This knowledge article examines the first version of Yamamoto et al. (https://arxiv.org/abs/2505.09133v1), one of the first quantum error corrected quantum phase estimation experiments for calculating molecular energies. This work is also sometimes labelled as H2xH2 as the computed molecule is H₂ , and the device used was the Quantinuum Systems H2 ion-trap. At the end of the article is a notebook style demonstration of the experiment using InQuanto.
