We are happy to announce the release of three new enabling tools for H-Series Users as well as the upgrade of H1-2 to 20 qubits.
Leakage detection gadget available in pyTKET
Leakage is a quantum error process in which a qubit ends up in a state outside of the computational subspace. In trapped-ion hyperfine qubits, leakage can occur because of spontaneous emission from an excited state during a two-qubit gate. The leakage detection gadget can detect these errors and the results excluded to minimize the impact of leakage.

Qubit Reuse Compilation
This package can be used to reduce the number of qubits needed to execute many types of quantum algorithms by measuring qubits as early as possible, resetting them, and reusing them elsewhere in the circuit. This package takes as input a quantum circuit and produces as output a compiled circuit that requires fewer qubits to execute.
The package is available on the Quantinuum User Portal under the Examples tab:

Release of the System Model H2 Emulator
Official release of the H2 emulator is planned for later this month. The release will be supported by a new framework, for all H-Series emulators, that will split jobs into chunks and enable more incremental distribution of emulation resources to users. Additionally, this update will give users increased flexibility in the management of long running jobs such as the ability to cancel the execution of currently running jobs and to view partial job results prior to completion.

H1-2 upgraded to 20 qubits.
Coming soon the H1-2 quantum computer will be upgraded to 20 qubits. Details can be found in the attached PCN.
